Q / The / Fall
The Fall season gives way to a playground of color that covers the entire east coast. We clocked miles, both in the air and on the ground to capture the best of the changing season in the northeast and the southeastern parts of the country. From Vermont to North Carolina, every turn offered its own beauty. this time of year has always been special to me. Places we see throughout the year all of the sudden take on a different face and aids in the appreciation of the places we can easily take for granted.
The northern part of New England gave way to early mornings acquainted with a thin layer of fog that hugged the surface of the lakes in the area. The water was still, and the trees reflected against the water with small ripples forming each time the leaves hit the surface of the lake. It was early, quiet, and the only thing you could hear was the sound of the pines blowing against one another and the leaves as they hit the ground.
I’ve always been a big fan of long drives. They make way for a good memory or two, new music discoveries as well as the color, which made each turn that much more enjoyable. From Vermont to New Hampshire we made a few stops along the way to take in the peaceful countryside that waited for us.
